Week 4-Amazon Ads

 Amazon is always innovating getting larger and larger every year. Now Amazon has ads you can create just like google. It has a lot of the same features as google such as creating your own budget and text ads.  There are also a lot of features that Amazon Ads has that would be very beneficial. One could argue Amazon ads is the way to go for digital advertising.


Amazon Ads could be the best ad platform  just due to the popularity of Amazon. It is by far the largest online retailer which means more opportunities for clicks. They also have video and audio ads which can be played on devices such as streaming tv's and Amazon echo. This is a very beneficial aspect because so many people use Amazon or Amazon devices on a regular basis.

Week- 6 Digital Dark ages

 The world has become an extremely advanced place. The term "Dark Ages" has gone from meaning the struggle to advance as a society to now meaning quite the opposite. The "Digital Dark Ages" refers to technology advancing too much which creates the risk of losing data. If you have important data on platforms such as Facebook or Instagram, the crashing of those platforms would mean the loss of your data as well. This has caused a new type of career: Data Archaeologist. Their job would be to preserve data sort of like librarians do with books. However, the best way to achieve this seems to be utilizing both Humans and AI to aid in preservation. This would be revolutionary because it would make it easier save and secure your personal data in a cloud system online.

Week 6- Google Ads Auction

 Google ads uses an auction system to rank ads that show up when people use the search engine. The top ranked ads are displayed first. This is determined by a ranking system called Ad Rank. Quality ads typically have three factors; An expected clickthrough rate, An Ad landing page experience, and Ad relevance.  The better quality of the Ad, the lower it costs and more success it has. Better Ads means more people are likely to click on them. Understanding this system will immensely help improve clicks. I believe trying to create a few good quality ads would be better than creating many ad that may be low quality.
